Farm Plastic Recycling
Authorised Solway Recycling collector for Southern England
The Solway Bin & Liner System
Farm Waste Solutions uses the Solway Bin & Liner System to help you segregate your different farm wastes, allowing easy recycling and a tidy farmyard.
Used properly, compacting the plastic in the liner, it is possible to get over 250 round bale wraps in a single liner. Once full, simply tie the liner with string and the bin can be unwrapped from around the liner, ready to be used for the next liner.
We charge per liner for collection, with a sliding scale of prices depending on how many you have. The more liners you have, the lower the price per liner.
We always have bins and liners in stock - contact us to order.

Annual plastic recycling hub events across the region
The Farm Plastic Recycling Scheme began in 2004 and has taken place annually ever since. Farm Waste Solutions now runs the scheme, using all previous sites at the same time of year.
The aim of the scheme is to provide farmers with a responsible, environmentally sound way to recycle plastic, preventing it from going to landfill.
How it works:
- Pay on the day: card machine payment (preferred), or cheque
- Deliver to the specified site at your booked allocated hourly slot
- Clean, separated, bagged plastic only
- No membership fees - pay only for the plastic you bring
Note: Tyres and contaminated/mixed plastic will be turned away. An additional surcharge may apply to loads where net wrap is more than 10% of the load by volume.
